Man due in court charged in connection with stabbing of asylum seeker in Dublin 

Quam Babtunde was found unresponsive with serious injuries by gardaí after emergency services were called after 3am that morning.

A man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of asylum seeker Quam Babatunde on February 15.

He is due to appear before Court 3 of the Criminal Courts of Justice Dublin this morning.

The young male, aged in his late teens, was arrested on Monday as part of the investigation into the fatal stabbing of Mr Babatunde at South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper, Dublin 2.

Mr Babatunde was found unresponsive with serious injuries by gardaí after emergency services were called after 3am that morning.

It is understood the incident started in a nightclub and spilled out onto the street.

Mr Babatunde was from Nigeria and was in the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) system.
