Teenager accused of involvement in violence at Cork store remanded in custody

Judge remanded 18-year-old Charles Faulkner in custody until January 27, saying she was concerned about allegations he was allegedly a prime mover, armed with a bat, in the alleged incident at the supermarket. Picture: Dan Linehan

A teenager accused of involvement in violent skirmishes at a busy supermarket in the course of a feud between families renewed his application for bail on Wednesday, as it was claimed there was no longer any so-called feud.

Frank Buttimer, solicitor, said there was no feud between the parties now. “There was a dispute between immature young people. He would comply with the tightest of bail conditions. There is peace between the parties,” the solicitor said.
