Teens arrested over firearms seizure in Tralee due in court
Two teenagers arrested after the seizure of firearms and ammunition in Kerry.
Two teenagers arrested after the seizure of firearms and ammunition in Kerry will appear in court on Wednesday morning.
The two were arrested during a routine checkpoint in Tralee at around 10.30pm on Monday night by the Kerry Roads Policing Unit.
The vehicle was searched, resulting in the discovery of three firearms and what gardaà described as a “large quantity of ammunition”.
They have been sent for a full ballistic examination while the vehicle was taken to Castleisland for a forensic examination.
The teenagers were charged on Tuesday evening and are due before Tralee district court on Wednesday morning.
