Gardaí have launched a major operation targeting a number of crime groups suspected of being involved in burglaries, drug trafficking and counterfeiting, and other criminal activity nationwide.
The operation, which involves more than 150 garda members from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau, the Armed Support Unit, and others, commenced on Tuesday morning.

Gardaí travelling in large convoys of vehicles targeted sites in Coolock and Raheny, and have carried out searches under warrant of 39 properties across the wider Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR).
