A psychiatric report is to be prepared on a man who confessed to charges arising out of the attempted hijacking of a car in Cork City where the windscreen of the car was kicked in and a threat made to stab the driver with his keys.

PJ Field had sentencing in his case mentioned at Cork Circuit Criminal Court where his barrister Mahon Corkery said that a psychiatric report had been directed.
