Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta has initiated High Court proceedings against Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (DPC).

It’s understood the case relates to a hefty €91m fine dished out last month by the data watchdog to Meta following an investigation which found multiple breaches of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
