A jury was sworn in before Limerick Circuit Criminal Court on Monday to hear the trial of a transgender woman, accused of making threats to kill or cause serious harm to a number of people.

Barbie Kardashian, aged 22, of no fixed abode, is accused of three counts of making a threat to kill or cause serious harm to Roisín Linnane, who was working as a prison officer at Limerick Prison, on the pertinent dates, April 25, 2023; June 9, 2023; and June 11, 2023.
