Five arrested as gardaí assaulted after 'disturbance' in Donegal Town

All five are due to appear before a sitting of Donegal District Court on November 6

The officers who were assaulted remained on duty until 7am on Sunday morning.

Five men have been arrested after a "disturbance" outside a premises in Donegal Town which led to a number of gardaí being assaulted.

Following a call from a member of the public, gardaí say they responded to the incident on Quay Street in the town at around 2am on the morning of Sunday, October 6.
