A psychiatric report was directed on Wednesday in the case against a 65-year-old man who walked naked along the Old Mallow Road in the middle of the afternoon carrying a machete and walking his dog.
Defence solicitor Joseph Cuddigan said the only charge against Eric Fitzgerald, of Shaw’s Bridge, Rathpeacon, Cork, was one of possession of a knife and that the accused man was pleading guilty to that.
