A dome-shaped pod containing a dinner table and seating outside a restaurant was used by a homeless man to sleep for the night and on Friday he faced sentencing for trespassing.

Sergeant John Kelleher said the incident happened on the morning of May 1 in one of the domes on the Boardwalk, Lapps Quay, Cork, outside the Tequila Jack’s premises.
