Homeless Cork man convicted for trespassing after sleeping in restaurant pod

Court told that man took the opportunity to sleep in the dome as he was on the street with nowhere to stay

A dome-shaped pod containing a dinner table and seating outside a restaurant was used by a homeless man to sleep for the night and on Friday he faced sentencing for trespassing.

Sergeant John Kelleher said the incident happened on the morning of May 1 in one of the domes on the Boardwalk, Lapps Quay, Cork, outside the Tequila Jack’s premises.
