A teenager facing trial by judge and jury on a charge of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl three years earlier contacted another youth to put a rock through the child’s window before the trial.

Now at Cork Circuit Criminal Court, the 17-year-old has pleaded guilty to a charge of attempting to obstruct or pervert the course of justice.
