Man receives suspended sentence following verbal abuse of garda 

Gardaí observed man banging on glass door of McDonalds in Mallow, Co Cork, after it had closed

The court heard that the man shouted to McDonalds staff: 'Let me in ye fat fucks, I just want a burger.'

An intoxicated man who was verbally abusive towards a female garda has been handed a suspended prison sentence in a district court.

Sergeant Majella O’Sullivan told Mallow District Court that Josh Lynch, 23, of The Fairway, Spa Glen, Mallow, Co Cork, was charged with two counts of threatening and abusive behaviour, two counts of intoxication in a public place, and one count of criminal damage arising from three separate incidents. His solicitor Cathal Lombard said Mr Lynch was pleading guilty to all of the charges.
