Former Cork bank cashier charged with seven counts of theft of cash from employer

Case can be heard at district court level if accused signed plea of guilty to all charges, court told

The Director of Public Prosecutions decided the case against a former bank cashier accused of seven counts of theft where she worked 13 years ago could only be dealt with at district court level if there was a plea of guilty to all charges.

Sergeant Aisling Murphy said otherwise the case would have to proceed by indictment to trial by judge and jury at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
