A man in his mid-60s was formally arrested and charged on Monday with counts including the production of a hammer in the course of an alleged assault on his wife in January and he replied: “She put me through hell”.
Detective Garda Mick Dolan charged the man with producing the hammer during an assault in January and writing his wife a letter on May 17, contravening a barring order.
