A Cork woman facing the prospect of jail because of repeated failures to open her door to gardaí checking her nightly curfew came up with the unusual proposal to set her alarm for 3am to delay taking her sleeping tablet.
Margaret Foley, 37, with an address at 1B Grenville Place, Cork, blamed her sleeping tablets for her failure to open the door to gardaí at night.
