Nine people are due in court after a public order incident in Dublin.

Gardaí said five men and four women were arrested for alleged public order offences while officers assisted International Protection Accommodation Services personnel at a premises on the Ballyogan Road on Wednesday evening.

The nine people were detained at Garda stations in the Dublin region.

They have since been charged and are due to appear before Dún Laoghaire District Court on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, four men were arrested and accused of public order offences at the same location.

They were all charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.

A Garda member was injured the course of the earlier incident and received medical treatment, gardaí said.
