Two young people who had sued over a delay in diagnosing and treating their hearing loss have settled their High Court actions against the HSE for a total of €420,000.

Mr Justice Tony O’Connor was told the cases relate to shortcomings in the past in the audiological treatment in the Roscommon/Westmeath area and liability was admitted by the HSE in both cases.
