A 35-year-old woman facing the prospect of a trial by judge and jury on a charge of robbing a 15-year-old girl of a €300 confirmation necklace at the skate park in the Mardyke has confessed to the crime.

She will be sentenced on June 5. Michelle Harrington was arraigned at Cork Circuit Criminal Court on that count of robbery and two related charges and she pleaded guilty to all three.
