Tobacco worth almost €600,000 seized at Dublin Port

Over 1,000kgs of illicit tobacco was seized at Dublin Port last Thursday.
The tobacco was found during an intelligence-led operation by Revenue officers who were assisted by detector dog, Milo.
Officers seized approximately 1,050kgs of chewing tobacco and 24kgs of tobacco.
The tobacco has a combined estimated value of around €597,300.
It was discovered when officers examined an unaccompanied trailer arriving to Dublin Port from Rotterdam, via the Czech Republic.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
