Former soldier charged with the murder of 84-year-old in Kerry is  remanded on bail

At the District Court in Tralee, Judge David Waters remanded the man on bail on a number of terms including an independent surety of €20,000 along with his own bond of €7,000

A 66-year-old former soldier charged with the murder of an 84-year-old man at his home in Castlemaine, Co Kerry in February has been remanded on bail.

Surety totalling €27,000 was lodged in the District Court in Tralee.
