A man denied raping his wife’s friend when she and his wife were both sleeping in the same bed after a catch-up social night together.

And now at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork, a jury of seven men and five women have found him not guilty of rape and of sexual assault of his wife’s friend that night — April 12, 2021 — following six hours of deliberation that commenced on Monday, March 11.
