Man accused of three Cork burglaries refuses to talk during video link to court
The man's solicitor said that the defendant was not communicative with him, that it would not be possible to communicate with him by video link and that he would have to go to the prison to inform him of what happened in court and to take instructions from his client. File picture
A man appeared in court by video link from prison without communicating and with his head bowed down in a case where he is accused of burgling three apartments and leaving a note with his name and phone number and two unopened condoms in one young woman’s home.
Judge Mary Dorgan recalled that the accused had also appeared with his head down in a previous court appearance. Defence solicitor, Frank Buttimer, said that the defendant was not communicative with him, that it would not be possible to communicate with him by video link and that he would have to go to the prison to inform him of what happened in court and to take instructions from his client.
