Gardaí found 150,000 motorists breaking the speed limit last year — the equivalent to one detection every three-and-a-half minutes.

Some 19,000 motorists were issued fines for using their mobile phone while driving in 2023 — the equivalent to one fine being issued every 30 minutes.
