Man due in court in relation to death of 61-year-old in Macroom

Michael Foley was found dead at his home in Macroom 10 days ago.

A man in his 30s has been charged in relation to the death of a man in Macroom last week.

Michael Foley, 61, was found dead at his home in Macroom 10 days ago.

A statement on Friday said gardaí "have charged the man who was arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of Michael Foley".

The man is due to appear before Bandon District Court on Friday afternoon.

Gardaí said that investigations are ongoing.
