A shipping container was leased for the weighing, bagging, and distribution of drugs in Cork city.

A €63,000 stash of cannabis and cocaine was found in a garda search of a shipping container in Cork that was leased for the weighing, bagging, and distribution of drugs in Cork city and now one of the men involved has been given a full suspended sentence.

Scott Hughes had faced the possibility of a minimum sentence of ten years because of the scale of the crime but Judge Colin Daly said that the exceptional circumstances of this case allowed him to depart from the mandatory minimum sentence.
