A Moroccan national appearing in Cork District Court by video link from prison voiced his arrival by saying that he was happy with his solicitor and happy with the judge, and when he got a three-month jail term, he said: “I am happy with that.” 

57-year-old Zouhair Maagli of Cork Simon Community pleaded guilty to stealing a diary valued €15 from Joyce’s shop on Princes Street, Cork, on November 4, 2023.
