After hearing an outline of the allegations, Judge Mary Dorgan accepted jurisdiction to deal with the case at Cork District Court.

A young Carrigaline man who was asked for drugs by two strangers was attacked by them when he said he had none, it was alleged in a case against one young man at Cork District Court.

Jamie O’Byrne, aged 32, of 4 Pearse Road, Ballyphehane, Cork, faces a charge of assault causing harm arising out of the alleged attack.
