A “violent and scary” breach of a barring order was committed by a 27-year-old man within nine minutes of being served with the order by a member of An Garda Síochána.

However, his mother — the injured party in the case — spoke up for her son and said that after spending the Christmas holiday period in prison he was now ready to be released and to start rebuilding his life.
