'That was not my son', mother of man who breached barring order tells court

Woman spoke up for son who spent Christmas in jail after he committed 'violent and scary' breach of barring order

A “violent and scary” breach of a barring order was committed by a 27-year-old man within nine minutes of being served with the order by a member of An Garda Síochána.

However, his mother — the injured party in the case — spoke up for her son and said that after spending the Christmas holiday period in prison he was now ready to be released and to start rebuilding his life.
