The accused had a severe crack cocaine addiction, the court was told.

A Dublin man who confessed to gardaí that he was responsible for the recent epidemic of heroin overdoses in Cork was remanded in custody through the Christmas period.

However, Josh McGuinness’s solicitor, Eddie Burke, said, that the accused had a bail appeal pending at the High Court.
