Cork man alleged to have breached bail conditions day after court order

Cork District Court heard evidence in the case against the 73-year-old man.

A 73-year-old man who was fortunate to be granted bail at a special sitting of Cork District Court on Saturday has put himself at risk of spending Christmas in prison because he returned to his family home in breach of the court conditions.

Judge Mary Dorgan said she dealt with the pensioner’s bail application at a special sitting of her court lasting over an hour on Saturday, at the end of which she decided to grant him bail.
