Accused also order to pay legal costs of victim

A former schoolboy who punched and head-butted another student at a teenage Halloween Party in Killiney, Co Dublin, seven years ago, has been ordered to pay the victim more than €52,000 damages and faces legal costs of €40,000.

Zachary Kelly, now aged 23, of Mobhi Road, Glasnevin, Dublin, was also directed by Judge Sinéad Ní Chúlacháin in the Circuit Civil Court to pay the legal costs of former Terenure College student Seán Holmes, who suffered a broken nose and concussion in what he described as an attack “out of nowhere.”
