Italian man on drug-dealing charges in Cork remanded in custody

The accused maintains that he was holding the drugs for an organised crime gang

An Italian national who is accused of having stashes of cocaine and cannabis with a street value of €246,000 at his flat in Cork City was remanded in custody for a fortnight.

Judge Joanne Carroll remanded Owayne Ventura in custody until November 1 when he appeared at Cork District Court by video link from prison.
