Cork woman accused of stealing Confirmation necklace from teenager

Michelle Harrington of Ravensdale Road, Mahon, Cork, is alleged to have carried out the robbery on a 15-year-old girl on September 3. 

The Director of Public Prosecutions has yet to decide on the venue for the case against a 35-year-old Cork woman accused of attacking and robbing a 15-year-old girl of a €300 necklace which she got for her Confirmation.

Sergeant John Kelleher applied to have the accused remanded in custody until October 9 to allow time for DPP directions to be obtained and Judge Olann Kelleher acceded to that application at Cork District Court.
