Man due in court after seizure of M16 rifle in Clare

During the search, a Colt M16 rifle, magazine and over 170 rounds of ammunition were found.

A man is due before a special sitting of Ennis District Court tonight charged in connection with the seizure of a firearm and ammunition in Shannon, Co. Clare.

The man was arrested by gardaí on Friday following the incident.
