Drug-dealing charges against Corkman to be struck out if DPP does not give directions

Banduff man is accused of having heroin for his own use and possession of the drug for sale or supply on May 17 at an apartment at Joachim & Anne’s, Anglesea Street, Cork, at a time when the drug had a street value of €2,500.

Two drug-dealing cases faced by a 31-year-old man from Banduff will be struck out on September 25 if no directions are forthcoming from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Defence solicitor Frank Buttimer complained of delay in the case against Kelvin Higgins and told Judge Olann Kelleher the last judge who adjourned the cases required an explanation from the DPP for the delay in the matters.
