Mother 'so afraid' of son, 26, when he is taking drugs

Defendant, who appeared to be highly emotional, said by video link: 'I am so sorry.' He pleaded guilty to breaching the safety order, putting his mother in fear.

A woman has spoken of feeling like a prisoner in her own home when her 26-year-old son takes drugs and now he has been remanded in custody for a fortnight.

The young man appeared by video link from prison where he spoke out tearfully to his mother as she was sworn in to give evidence at Cork District Court.
