Ballincollig street fight brought traffic to standstill

Up to 12 young men got involved in a street fight in the middle of the afternoon, court heard

Brian Desmond of Innishmore Grove, Ballincollig, Co Cork, was sentenced to four months in prison for engaging in an affray

Traffic was brought to a standstill at a busy junction in Ballincollig in the middle of the day when up to 12 young men got involved in a street fight.

“This was a very serious matter,” Judge Olann Kelleher said at Cork District Court.
