Man jailed for sexual assault of former partner's child

A man was jailed for 18 months after he was convicted by a jury last April on one charge of sexual assault of the then 14-year-old girl.

A teenager has told a court that the sexual assault she suffered at the hands of her mother’s former partner left her with “anxiety, sadness, shame and guilt”.
