Cork gardaí in 'near-miss' with driver on the wrong side of the road

GARDAÍ in Cork city were involved in a near-miss this morning when a car drove towards a patrol car on the wrong side of the road.

Gardaí in Cork City were involved in a near-miss earlier today when a car drove towards their patrol vehicle on the wrong side of the road.

The incident happened on Parnell Bridge, within metres of Anglesea Street Garda Station.

The driver failed a breath test carried out on-site and was subsequently arrested.

Gardaí say a file will now be prepared.
