Case dismissed after man accused of sexual abuse 70 years ago dies

A man who was sued for allegedly sexually abusing another man when he was a child some 70 years ago has died, the High Court has heard.

However, while the deceased’s estate could continue the action, the case must be dismissed because legal representatives of the estate are no longer in a position to challenge the alleged victim's account of the abuse, Mr Justice Charles Meenan ruled.
