Man found guilty of murdering mother-of-two after 'binge-drinking session'
Amanda Carroll's body was discovered in the bedroom of her apartment by her then 16-year-old son.
A Central Criminal Court jury has found an electrician guilty of murdering his partner of four months, whom he strangled in her bedroom after a "binge-drinking session".
The panel of six men and six women rejected the defence contention by a majority verdict that Sean Nolan (aged 36) was too drunk to have formed the intent to murder his girlfriend Amanda Carroll (aged 33) and what had happened to the mother-of-two was an "accidental death".
