Homecare services for families across Cork which had been scheduled for bank holiday Monday, were cancelled at short notice before being restored, only after relatives contacted the .
It comes as more than 100 older people across Cork and Kerry have been waiting over a year for homecare. Tipperary and Waterford are among other counties facing similar pressures, while unions say the jobs do not offer a living wage.
