Man (80s) rushed to hospital after being hit by bus in Bray

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Bray, Co. Wicklow on Thursday evening.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision on Station Road, involving a bus and a pedestrian, shortly before 6pm.

The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The road remains closed pending an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users and pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area between 5.40pm and 6.10pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
