Spells of very heavy rain are set to hit the south east and east of Ireland, with Met Éireann issuing status orange and yellow warnings. 

Two status orange rain warnings have been issued for both Waterford and Wicklow, with both warnings coming into effect at 3am on Thursday. They will remain in place for 24 hours.
