Tuam family group invite president to meet with them given her 'personal connection' to babies who died

Survivors and family members of the 796 children who died in appalling circumstances in the Tuam home for unmarried mothers between 1925 and 1961 point out the president campaigned for their rights in previous years in her role as a former Galway TD.

The Tuam Babies Family Group has invited President Catherine Connolly to meet with them, given her own “personal connection” to the children who died in the notorious mother and baby home.
