Eight properties searched relating to assault which left woman with serious burn injuries

The incident happened at a home in Clondalkin on Tuesday, November 2025. It is understood that an attacker poured petrol or another accelerant on her and set her on fire at a house in Dublin.

Eight properties were searched following an assault which left a woman with serious burn injuries in Dublin last month. 

The incident happened at a home in Clondalkin on November 25, 2025. It is understood that an attacker poured petrol or another accelerant on her and set her on fire.

In an update, gardaí stated that they searched eight properties in the Dublin Metropolitan Region West and seized a number of items of evidential value. 

The investigation is being led by a senior investigating officer from an incident room in Clondalkin Garda Station. 

The woman who sustained serious burn injuries remains in a serious condition in hospital. 

GardaĂ­ continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

Any persons who were in the Oak Downs area of Clondalkin between 9.30am and 10.20am on Tuesday, November 25 and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
