Motorcyclist, 30s, dies in Wexford crash

A male motorcyclist has died following a crash in Co Wexford on Monday. 

The single-vehicle crash happened on the R738 at Growtown Upper in Barntown at approximately 6.20am. 

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The coroner has been notified.

The R738 is currently closed pending a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are now in place.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users with camera footage who were travelling in the area between 6am and 6.30am this morning have been asked to make this footage available.
