Three boys have been arrested by gardaí investigating disorder near a hotel housing asylum seekers in Dublin last month.
They have since been charged and are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon, November 7, at 4.30pm.
Demonstrations, which descended into rioting, were held outside the Citywest Hotel in Saggart after an alleged sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl in its vicinity in the early hours of October 20.
A 26-year-old man, who cannot be named because of legal restrictions, has been charged over the alleged incident.
On the night of October 21 and 22 there were stand-offs between protesters and the gardaí, who were struck with fireworks, stones and other debris.
Gardaí said in a statement on Friday that investigators from the Dublin Metropolitan Region Crime South, supported by the Dublin Crime Response Team, carried out further searches under warrant in south Dublin and arrested three juvenile males as part of this investigation.
"The three juveniles are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Garda stations in the Dublin Region," it said.
"This brings the number of individuals arrested to date in relation to this investigation to 36."
Gardaí continue to appeal to those with any information on persons involved in this serious public disorder to contact the Garda investigation team at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 6667600 or any member of An Garda Síochána at any Garda Station.
Members of the public can provide information confidentially to An Garda Síochána by contacting the garda confidential line 1800-666111.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
