Four people have been killed in separate road crashes around the country since Friday.
The latest incident saw a man in his 30s die in a single vehicle crash in Lavally, Tuam, Co Galway at around 4.30am on Sunday.
Elsewhere, an elderly man died following a collision in Loughgeorge, Co Galway, on Friday night before two men died in Co Carlow and Co Kildare on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday's crash occurred on the L2107 at Cappadavock. The sole occupant of the car, a man in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Gardaí said the coroner was notified and the deceased has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway, where an autopsy will be arranged.
The road remains closed at the scene, which is preserved pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the L2107 between 4am and 6am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

In the other Galway collision, gardaí said a man aged in his 80s died after a car struck a pedestrian on the Tuam Road in Loughgeorge.
They said he was pronounced dead at the scene, and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
On Saturday, gardaí said a man aged in his 30s was seriously injured after being struck by a bus on the N7 motorway eastbound, at Kill, Co Kildare at about 3.30pm.
They said he died in hospital on Saturday evening as a result of the collision, and appealed for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Meanwhile, a fourth man died following a road crash at Ballyroughan Big, Borris, Co Carlow at 4.30pm on Saturday.
The man, aged in his 40s, was also a pedestrian.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
