Storm Amy: Orange warning for Kerry as country set to see near gale force winds

Co Kerry is currently under a status orange rain warning with two more status yellow warnings in place as Storm Amy, the first named storm of the new storm season, hits Ireland.

Met Éireann says Kerry will see heavy spells of rain while the orange warning is in place. The warning came into effect at 6am on Thursday and will remain in place until 8pm. The county can expect to see flooding and very difficult travelling conditions.
